About this opportunity

You'll aid in the overall service provision to clients ensuring that the business is retained and developed.

There is some scope in terms of the type of candidate that this role would be suited to. On one hand, it represents an excellent opportunity for an entry -level candidate to join the business and start their Insurance career. In this case you may have completed ’ A’ Levels recently and this could be an Apprenticeship opportunity whereby there will be full training and support to enable you to work towards a fully funded professional qualification be it Business Administration or a more Insurance focused course of study.

Alternatively, you may be a more experienced Administrator looking for a new role or perhaps returning to work after a break from this type of position. Indeed, there is some flexibility as to whether the position is full or part time, providing you are present in the office no later than 9am on any given working day in order to be able to welcome visitors and coordinate meetings.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provision of administrative support in accordance with agreed Lockton procedures.
Obtain claims information forms from insurers/Claims.
Prepare renewal questionnaire.
Collect data/statistics for inclusion in market presentations.
Preparation of marketing documentation for new business, renewals and mid-term amendments.
Working on premium allocations where required.
Preparation and issuance of invoices, mid-term amendments and closings.
Create and update relevant systems.
Liaise with insurers and clients as required.
Prompt and accurate resolution of accounts queries.
Provide support in the overall servicing of the client’s insurance programme and retention of the business.
Monitor and respond to management information reports.

What you could go on to do

There will be full training and support, which will aid the successful Claims Associate in working towards a fully funded professional qualification either in Business Administration, or in a subject that caters more specifically towards a career in Insurance.

• At the end of the programme they will become Associates
• Both to be based in Finchley and to be supporting all teams, typically this will look like a split so a group of teams are supported by a particular apprentice
• We are looking at diverse and broad groups for the programme although the first 2 apprentices may well be school leavers in the entry level pay bracket, we are also considering the locality of Finchley and local schools
• Likely looking at the beginning of September to commence interviewing
• There is desire to create a framework around this programme to ensure there is a ‘rolling bank’ of apprentices coming through the business

How you will be supported
Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Skills Company.

• Apprentices are on the programme for 18 months and are supported through CERT completion – ideally in that period
• The programme includes 13 days of classroom training and external mentor/coach support

What you should have to apply

Solid educational background, with good A-Level qualifications in essay based or analytical subjects
Minimum 2 A Levels Grade C and above or equivalent.
