Light Vehicle Service and Maintenance Apprentice Technician

About this opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with Partington Lane Garage. They need an apprentice mechanic to join their team in their busy workshop in Swinton. The right person will have the opportunity to work towards a level 3 apprenticeship.

A normal day would include:
• Keeping the workshop clean and tidy
• Learning how to use the tools and equipment used in vehicle maintenance and repair
• Carrying out safe working procedures in the workshop
• Assisting other technicians with their work whilst receiving on the job training
• Servicing vehicles and safely removing and replacing engine, chassis, electrical and transmission components
• Diagnosing and repairing engine, chassis, transmission and electrical systems

Partington Lane Garage has been established for over 40 years. They have a strong customer base with many customers still supporting them for many years. Over the years that they have been trading, they have taken on many apprentices who have successful gone on to be fully qualified mechanics.

What you could go on to do:
You could go on to progress to become an MOT Tester with the company after completing the apprenticeship.

What you should have to apply

Ideally grades C (or 4) and above in GCSE maths and English but this is not essential
